Meet two crime writers who are currently making the headlines
Finally some good news: we’re currently living in a new golden era of crime writing. Some of our favourite contemporary writing is in the thriller genre, so we are delighted to invite you to meet two of its finest exponents, Emma Flint and Kate Hamer.
Emma and Kate will be visiting on 13 Feb at 7.30 to talk about Little Deaths and The Doll Funeral respectively and both books have, quite rightly, had reviewers reaching for hyperboles.
Little Deaths is set in 1960s New York and is based on a true case. When a young mother in a down at heel suburb is suspected of the heinous double murder of her two young children, it is her lifestyle rather than the evidence which the prosecutors focus on. The Doll Funeral is a beautifully written, slow-burn elegaic thriller pivoting around a young girl’s search for her birth parents.
If you’d like to join us at on the evening, entry is free, but we do ask that, if possible, you book ahead via firstname.lastname@example.org or 0207 431 3770
